Bengaluru: A 25-year-old woman from Nepal, working as a housekeeping staffer in an apartment in Kalyan Nagar, east Bengaluru, accused a delivery agent of repeatedly following her for nearly a month and sexually harassing and assaulting her inside the premises.Bhavana (name changed) told police the accused is Manjunath, a courier boy. She alleged that he deliberately waited near the basement staircase to avoid being captured clearly by CCTV cameras.On July 29 at 4pm, Manjunath waited near the stairs, allegedly opened his trouser zip and flashed at her, following which he attempted to assault her with a sharp object resembling a needle, she told police.Bhavana managed to escape and raised an alarm. Hearing her screams, security guards rushed to the spot, but the accused had fled by then.Banaswadi police registered a case under Sections 75 (sexual harassment), 78 (stalking) and 79 (word, gesture or act intended to insult the modesty of a woman) and are on the lookout for the accused.
