New Delhi: Delhi govt Thursday directed various agencies to expedite pending approvals, utility shifting and land-related clearances for several national highway and road infrastructure projects. The UT-level coordination committee on NHAI and GNCTD issues met to review the progress on key corridors and measures to address chronic waterlogging and traffic congestion. Among other issues, the meeting reviewed congestion at Delhi’s border entry points linked to MCD toll plazas, encroachments and unauthorised parking along national highways, including Dwarka Expressway and UER-II. Agencies were also asked to strengthen emergency response along UER-II.
