Juvenile stabs youth outside school in mistaken identity case

New Delhi: An 18-year-old youth was allegedly stabbed outside a govt school in northwest Delhi’s Jahangir Puri Thursday after a Class VIII student mistook him for another student he had allegedly came to assault, police said.The victim, identified as Raahit, sustained a stab injury below the abdomen and was taken to BJRM Hospital before being referred to BSA Hospital. He is stated to be stable.During inquiry, police found that two days earlier, the juvenile had quarrelled with another student. On the day of the incident, he allegedly came to attack the student who was absent from school. Mistaking Raahit for the student he had come to attack, the juvenile allegedly stabbed him at the school gate. Police apprehended him from the spot.
