Aizawl: Mizoram’s main opposition party, Mizo National Front (MNF), on Thursday reiterated its condemnation of chief minister Lalduhoma’s recent statement on the 1986 memorandum of settlement between the Centre and MNF, accusing him of downplaying the significance of the Mizo Peace Accord.Addressing a news conference in Aizawl, former chief minister and MNF president Zoramthanga demanded that Lalduhoma should publicly apologise and withdraw the remarks he made at an event at Mizoram Govt Law College on July 31. “If the chief minister does not apologise publicly and retract his statement, MNF party will take all necessary steps to protect the Mizo Peace Accord,” Zoramthanga said.
