Chennai: IIT Madras-incubated robotics startup Solinas Integrity has closed $5.5 million in funding. Founded by Divanshu Kumar and Moinak Banerjee, Solinas builds robotics and AI systems to inspect, clean and manage underground water and wastewater infrastructure. It plans to use the capital to deepen its presence in existing markets while expanding into new states and municipal corporations across India and building out an international footprint in the Middle East and Southeast Asia.The Series A1 round was led by Hero Enterprise Partner Ventures and included Mela Ventures, Luthra Group, and existing investors such as SBI Ventures, Rainmatter and 8X Ventures. The company also plans to focus on the development of next-generation robotic inspection and cleaning technologies and its software platforms. Solinas is targeting Rs 100 crore in revenue by FY28.“We are also planning to extend into adjacent oil and gas and defence,” said Divanshu Kumar, co-founder and CEO of Solinas Integrity.
