New Delhi: A foreigner sustained serious injuries after allegedly jumping from the fourth floor of a building while trying to evade officials during a raid by Narcotics Control Bureau (NCB) in south Delhi’s Mehrauli area Monday evening.Police said the incident took place around 6pm during an NCB operation at the premises. The woman, whose identity is yet to be ascertained, allegedly jumped from the balcony in an apparent bid to escape.She was rushed to AIIMS trauma centre, where she is undergoing treatment. Cops said she is stable but not yet fit to give a statement.During the operation, NCB apprehended two Nigerian nationals from the premises. Suspected narcotic substances were also recovered, though officials said the exact nature of the contraband is being verified.Earlier this year, in June, a 41-year-old woman from Nigeria reportedly jumped to her death from the balcony of her fourth-floor apartment in Swaroop Nagar after police raided the premises, which was being used as a facility to manufacture and store synthetic drugs.
