CEIR helps Bhilwara police recover 281 lost mobile phones
Bhilwara Police returning lost mobile phones recovered through complaints registered on the Central Equipment Identity Register (CEIR) portal at the SP office

Bhilwara: Bhilwara Police recovered 281 lost mobile phones over the past three months through complaints registered on the Central Equipment Identity Register (CEIR) portal and returned them to their owners, officials said Wednesday.SP Sagar Rana said the recovered phones were traced through complaints lodged on the CEIR portal and the Sanchar Saathi app. More than 60 mobile phones recovered from urban areas were handed over to their owners at the SP office by Rana and Additional SP Rajesh Arya, while the remaining devices were returned through the respective police stations.Rana urged people not to panic if they lose their mobile phones and instead register a complaint on the CEIR portal, saying the system has been instrumental in helping police trace and recover lost devices.Police stations with the highest recoveries included Pratap Nagar (47 phones), Gulabpura (26), Kareda (18) and Jahazpur (16), followed by several other police stations across the district.According to police, 2,709 trace requests have been registered on the CEIR portal in Bhilwara so far, of which 2,005 mobile phones have been successfully recovered and returned to their rightful owners.
