NEW DELHI: Actress Shweta Tiwari on Saturday reacted to Union education minister Dharmendra Pradhan‘s resignation by questioning the Cockroach Janta Party’s (CJP) next move, asking, “When is the Punjab Education Minister resigning?”Taking to the stories section of her Instagram account, Tiwari shared a video of CJP founder Abhijeet Dipke and questioned the outfit’s next course of action.“Now, when is the Punjab Education Minister resigning? And when are you protesting there, Cockroach Janta Party?” she wrote.In the video shared by the actress, Dipke is heard saying that after Dharmendra Pradhan’s resignation, the movement has shown that it can demand the resignation of any cabinet minister who fails to perform.Pradhan stepped down on Saturday following weeks of nationwide student protests over alleged irregularities in competitive examinations, particularly the NEET-UG paper leak.

His resignation came after sustained demonstrations in New Delhi and several other cities, with protesters demanding accountability and reforms in the examination system.Meanwhile, the Cockroach Janta Party (CJP) has announced the withdrawal of its protest at Jantar Mantar, saying the decision was taken in “good faith” after the government agreed to its key demands.However, CJP spokesperson Saurav Das said the organisation would continue raising issues affecting the country’s youth despite ending the sit-in protest in the national capital.Pradhan’s resignation marked the culmination of over a month of protests led by students and activists, who had demanded action over alleged examination irregularities and greater transparency in the education system.Das told ANI, “Democracy has been restored. Democracies demand accountability, answerability. The youth of the country are the future; they have been able to restore it. This is a major victory. The youth of the country have withdrawn from this agitation; however, please stop the manner in which you govern by doing anti-Muslim, anti-Christian politics. Please work for the welfare of every community, including the students; only then will you have people’s trust.““This is just a trailer. The picture is still to come. The youth of the country have awakened. The youth of the country will solve all the problems in this country. As a party, as a movement, this is obviously not ending. Now we will go across the country, listen to the youth, bring the best policies for them, and continue to demand accountability from everyone. This is just the beginning.
