Mohali: Mohali police have registered a case against Punjabi singer-actor Dilpreet Singh Dhillon following allegations of assault, wrongful confinement, criminal intimidation and use of a firearm during an altercation at a flat in Sector 70.The FIR was registered at Mataur police station on the complaint of a Chandigarh-based music company operator, who alleged the dispute arose over a proposed recording deal that failed to materialise.According to the complaint, the singer allegedly became angry over the failed deal, assaulted the complainant and later threatened him with a pistol during an argument at a flat in Sector 70 on July 22.Police have registered the case under provisions of the Bharatiya Nyaya Sanhita and the Arms Act. SP City Dilpreet Singh said the allegations are being investigated from all angles and the singer will be questioned if required.Police said further action will be taken based on the findings of the investigation. No arrest had been made till the filing of the report.
