Ghaziabad: A public prosecutor has accused a Ghaziabad district court judge of using a casteist slur against him during court proceedings and filed complaints with police and National Commission for Scheduled Castes (NCSC).Special public prosecutor Sanjeev Kumar Bakharva has alleged that on March 11, the judge used unparliamentary language and threatened him with incarceration on charges of contempt of court. When he objected to the “unwarranted reprimand”, the judge, the prosecutor claimed, lost cool and used a casteist slur. The prosecutor also sent a copy of the complaint to the district judge.NCSC has issued notices to the district magistrate and police commissioner, seeking a report and details of procedures undertaken under provisions of Scheduled Castes and the Scheduled Tribes (Prevention of Atrocities) Rules, 1995, within 15 days. The complaint was filed at Kavinagar police station.
