Malda: In a case of alleged fratricide, two BSF jawans were shot dead and another sustained bullet injuries after a colleague opened fire following an argument at a battalion camp in Malda’s Baishnabnagar on Thursday afternoon.According to preliminary details, Shivam Mishra, a jawan belonging to the 119th Battalion and hailing from Chhattisgarh, opened fire on his colleagues following a sudden altercation.The victims are Ajay Kumar Singh (51) of Chhapra, Bihar, and Ambadar Suresh Durgu (36) from Gadchiroli, Maharashtra, both attached to the 71st Battalion. Both jawans died on the spot. Jawan Bikash Brahma, a native of Hooghly, was injured.Malda SP Anupam Singh said Mishra has been detained, adding that mental depression could have been the trigger behind the attack.
