Mapusa: Backed by heavy police deployment, the demolition of illegal structures at Tembwada, Morjim, continued for a second day on Tuesday.Following court directions, the demolition of 23 structures built in violation of Coastal Regulation Zone (CRZ) rules began on Monday.One of the structures deemed illegal belongs to Local Dilip Morje, who, along with his son, Dhruv, has been arrested in connection with an assault on advocate Ankur Kumar and his client, Anil Naik, last week over the demolition order. A case of attempted murder has been registered against the father-son duo and others involved in the attack.A local court has remanded the two in seven days police custody.Following a high court directive, the investigation has been transferred from Mandrem police station to Colvale police station.“The investigating officer has been changed as per the directives of the high court,” said North Goa SP Harish Madkaikar.
