Bengaluru: A three-year-old boy playing outside his grandmother’s residence at Bukkapatna in Tumakuru’s Sira died when a car ran over him Thursday evening.The victim is Syed Huzaifa, second child of Syed Umar and Zakia Banu from Hosakere in Madhugiri. Umar had left Huzaifa with Banu’s parents for a few days. On Thursday evening, Huzaifa was playing outside the house when the rashly driven car knocked him down and sped away, a police officer said, adding CCTV footage is being collected to identify the vehicle and arrest the driver.Senior citizen succumbs to injuriesA 79-year-old man hit by a truck while crossing Outer Ring Road in Banashankari III Stage on July 12, succumbed to injuries Friday morning. The deceased is Parashuram MK, resident of Banashankari III Stage. Cops arrested truck driver Manjunath.
