Ahmedabad: Gujarat University completed the first round of postgraduate admissions, with a total of 4,118 seats allotted across various programmes. The data reflects a strong response from students seeking admission to diverse academic streams, including commerce, arts, science, law and education.Among the major courses, MA recorded the highest number of allotments, with 896 seats, followed by BEd with 883 seats. LLB also saw significant participation, with 784 seats allotted, while MCom accounted for 620 admissions.In the science stream, 407 students gained admission to MSc programmes. Additionally, 187 seats were allotted in LLM, and 133 in MEd. Other master’s programmes collectively recorded 92 allotments.Postgraduate diploma programmes also attracted students, with 116 seats allotted in the first round.The overall figures indicate balanced demand across traditional and professional courses, with education and law programmes remaining popular choices among applicants. Students who were allotted seats in Round 1 are required to complete the admission confirmation process within the stipulated time.
