Times News NetworkPonda: Ratne Krishna Gaude, 77, who had been missing since Thursday afternoon, was found alive in the Bethora jungle on Wednesday. A missing person’s complaint had been filed at the Ponda police station immediately after she disappeared.Anand Gaude, her son-in-law from Kazarwada, Bethora, said it was mysterious that she survived for seven days without food. He said she has become weak but that her condition is otherwise stable.Ratne, a native of Kunkoliem, Mardol, was visiting her daughter, Pushpa, when she went missing last week. Anand said that after lunch on Thursday, Ratne was watching TV while one granddaughter was studying for her master’s degree and another was playing. A granddaughter then informed him that Ratne was missing from the house.Anand said the family immediately searched all possible places, but could not trace her. They continued searching daily, but she was not found.Later, a person from Tale Wada, Bethora, spotted Ratne sitting in the Bethora jungle near a fuel pump and alerted her family. The jungle is located near the Bethora bypass.“We brought her home, but she is in trauma. We will take her to the hospital on Thursday,” Anand said, adding that the police have been informed that Ratne has been found.
