Bengaluru: A masked burglar took advantage of a brief security lapse at a finance company’s office and walked away with 13 laptops worth nearly Rs 10 lakh on July 11.According to the complaint filed by Assistant Manager of Anand Rathi Global Finance Limited on Rhenius Street, the theft occurred between 8 am and 9 am on July 11, when the office was closed for the second Saturday holiday.The security guards had briefly stepped away for breakfast when the accused entered the office premises and stole the laptops. After the incident came to light the staff checked the CCTV footage reportedly shows a masked man carrying two bags as he moved through the premises before stealing the laptops and fleeing the spot.The stolen laptops are collectively valued at Rs 9,88,842.56. Based on the complaint, the Ashok Nagar police have registered a case under section 305 (theft in a dwelling house, or means of transportation or place of worship, etc).Based on the CCTV clues the police are gathering information to identify and trace the suspect.ENDS///
