The period for filing claims and objections will run from August 17 to September 16.The claims and objections received during this period will be disposed of between August 17 and October 15, and the final electoral rolls will be published on October 19.Kumar recently visited Tumakuru, Chitradurga, Shivamogga, Mandya, Hassan and Mysuru to review the exercise. The extension comes as partial relief for several citizens who have been unable to complete the enumeration process because they could not access the 2002 electoral rolls.Chief Electoral Officer Anbukumar on Wednesday reiterated: “If you are not able to find the 2002 SIR data, please attach your photograph, sign the form, fill in your details and hand it over to the BLO. After the draft rolls are published, you will be served a notice, and if you submit any one of the 11 documents listed in the enumeration form, it will be considered as per the law, and the ERO will take the necessary decision.”Responding to queries about corrections to address, date of birth and mobile number, the CEO said, “We are not taking up corrections at this stage. If you want to correct your details, submit the request after the draft rolls are published. The changes will be considered as per the law.”He added, “At this stage, filling the enumeration form and providing the 2002 SIR data for every eligible voter are the most important aspects. If any voter wants to make corrections, they can do so after the draft rolls are published. Please sign the enumeration form, fill in the required details and submit it. Anyone who returns the signed form will have their name included in the draft rolls. Any inquiry that needs to be conducted will take place after that, in accordance with due process of law.“
