Hyderabad: Siddipet police in a press note said that as part of the “Mana Police – Mana Ooru” programme, which is aimed to gain the confidence of local villagers, multiple awareness events using Oggu folklore artists were organised at Akunuru Village on Wednesday.“We found that using traditional art forms like Oggu Katha is more effective than traditional methods for educating people. During the campaign, we urged every biker to wear a helmet and for car drivers to wear seatbelts, and strictly advised them against drunk driving,” Siddipet police commissioner Rashmi Perumal said.
