Ayodhya/Lucknow: Ram Temple Trust treasurer Swami Govind Dev Giri on Thursday said that Champat Rai — the Trust’s former general secretary — is not upset or angry with the proceedings of the Trust in the wake of the donation theft.Giri claimed that Rai is also not upset over acceptance of his resignation. Before convening its meeting on July 6, the Trust did not invite either Rai or Anil Mishra, the second trust member who resigned from his position.“I met Champat Rai on Wednesday primarily to enquire about his health. He is in good health and holds no grudges. He remains a committed loyalist of this country who would continue to serve the motherland. Rai said he would continue to support us in our efforts to set up a new system (of donation process). He told us to improve the way puja rituals are carried out in the temple and we are committed to fulfil his expectations,” said Giri in a statement.Giri, who has been in Ayodhya since the past four days, toured the temple complex, particularly the portion of the temple where counting of cash bundles takes place. “We would implement measures to make sure that such incidents (donation theft) do not take place in the future,” he said.
