Hyderabad: Chaitanya Bharathi Institute of Technology (CBIT), Hyderabad, has celebrated its 6th Graduation Day on Wednesday.Governor Shiv Pratap Shukla took part in the ceremony as the chief guest. Dr Vijay Kumar Saraswat, member, NITI Aayog, and Prof K Shashikanth, controller of examinations, Osmania University, participated as the guests of honour.In his welcome address, Prof CV Narasimhulu, principal, highlighted CBIT’s continued commitment to excellence in technical education, research, innovation, industry collaboration, entrepreneurship, and holistic student development. He congratulated the graduating students and encouraged them to uphold professional ethics, lifelong learning, and social responsibility.Governor Shiv Pratap Shukla remarked that the opportunities for today’s youth are greater than ever before. “You are empowered by knowledge,” he said, adding that honesty and integrity are the greatest strengths a young professional can possess. He encouraged the graduates to combine knowledge with strong moral values to become responsible leaders and contribute meaningfully to the nation’s development.Dr Vijay Kumar Saraswat inspired the students to pursue research, innovation, and entrepreneurship while contributing to India’s vision of becoming a global leader in science and technology.During the ceremony, eligible students from various undergraduate and postgraduate programmes were conferred their degrees. Gold medals and academic awards were presented to meritorious students in recognition of their outstanding academic achievements.The graduation ceremony concluded with the administration of the graduation pledge, followed by the singing of the National Anthem.
