Lucknow: State Agency for Comprehensive Health Insurance and Integrated Services (SACHIS) has trained 800 NABH-accredited hospitals across state to strengthen digital healthcare systems and improve services for Ayushman Bharat beneficiaries under the Pradhan Mantri Jan Arogya Yojana (PM-JAY).SACHIS CEO Archana Verma said the training covered Ayushman Bharat Digital Mission standards, digital health procedures and resolution of technical issues faced by hospitals. The agency is also encouraging accredited hospitals to maintain quality standards through incentives available under the scheme.SACHIS has also intensified action against hospitals violating PM-JAY norms. Verma said penalties of Rs 1.16 crore were imposed on hospitals where complaints were found genuine in the current financial year, of which around Rs 60 lakh has been recovered so far.Payments to hospitals that failed to clear penalties have been withheld, while those repeatedly violating guidelines have been suspended.SACHIS said it is following a zero-tolerance policy against irregularities such as unauthorised cash collection from beneficiaries, and other financial violations.
