7 years after Nuh bike robbery, court sentences man to 5 years’ rigorous imprisonment
A Nuh sessions court sentenced Sadar alias Sadaruddin to five years of rigorous imprisonment

GURGAON: A Nuh sessions court has sentenced a man to five years’ rigorous imprisonment and imposed a fine of around Rs 30,000 in a 2019 case involving bike snatching, assault and robbery.District and sessions judge Dr Sushil Kumar Garg convicted Sadar alias Sadaruddin, a resident of Reethar village under Pinangwan police station, after nearly seven years of proceedings.According to the police, the case dates back to May 27, 2019, when complainant Zakir, also a resident of Reethar, was travelling on his motorcycle around 3pm.The prosecution case was that Sadaruddin, along with Shakil alias Bihari and others, stopped him allegedly over an old dispute and assaulted him.The accused allegedly snatched Rs 15,000 from his pocket and took away his motorcycle.The prosecution further alleged that later the same evening, the accused went to Zakir’s shop, attacked it and threatened him with dire consequences.Pinangwan police subsequently registered a case and investigated the allegations. During the trial, one of the accused, Shakil alias Bihari, died.After hearing both sides and considering the evidence on record, the sessions court convicted Sadaruddin and sentenced him to five years’ rigorous imprisonment.The court also imposed a fine of around Rs 30,000.
