Amritsar: Punjab Police have busted a cross-border smuggling module involved in trafficking of illegal arms and narcotic substances in Amritsar, arresting two people and seizing six sophisticated pistols, 1kg of heroin, 1 kg of opium and Rs 10,000Police commissioner Gurpreet Singh Bhullar told the media on Thursday the two accused, Joga Singh and Manpreet Singh, were in contact with a foreign-based handler who sent illegal arms and narcotic substances through drones. These were received by the duo and further supplied to criminal elements. Bhullar said Joga Singh has 21 criminal cases registered against him under charges of murder, Arms Act, NDPS Act, theft and other offences.
