Gurgaon: A five-year-old girl died after being run over by a school bus in Agon village of Firozpur Jhirka in Nuh on Tuesday afternoon.The girl, Manisha, had gone with her mother to collect wood from a vacant plot when she came onto the road while playing. According to police, the bus belonging to Shariqah Public School in Agon was returning after dropping children when it hit the girl. The front wheel of the bus ran over her head, killing her on the spot.Manisha’s death has left her family devastated and plunged the village into mourning.Police reached the spot and seized the bus. SHO (Sadar Firozpur Jhirka) Subhash Chandra said, “The girl’s body was sent to Al-Afia Hospital in Mandikhera for post-mortem examination.”Police have registered a case for rash driving and death by negligence. “CCTV footage and other evidence from the area will be examined to establish how the accident occurred,” the officer added.
