33.1% clear Gujarat board SSC supplementary exams

Gandhinagar: A total of 30,845 students have passed the Class X supplementary exam conducted by the Gujarat Secondary and Higher Secondary Education Board in June. The overall pass percentage stood at 33.1%.According to official data, 1,21,439 students registered for the exam and 93,321 appeared for it.Girls outperformed boys in the results. Of the 72,321 boys who registered, 61,618 appeared and 18,399 passed, recording a pass percentage of 29.86%. In comparison, 49,118 girls registered, 31,703 appeared and 12,446 passed, with a pass percentage of 39.26%.Category-wise analysis showed that regular students performed better than repeaters. Regular candidates recorded a pass percentage of 36.13%, while repeater candidates managed 23.54%. Among Gujarat state open school (GSOS) students, regular candidates achieved a pass percentage of 22.15%, while repeaters recorded 19.84%.The board also highlighted the performance of students who reappeared under the ‘Best of Two’ scheme. Of the 412 students who appeared again, 300 improved their results, while 112 saw no change.Additionally, 126 differently abled students benefited from a 20% relaxation in passing standards. In Sanskrit Prathama, 19 of 27 students passed, recording a pass percentage of 70.37%.The board said the supplementary exam gives students a second chance to improve their academic performance and continue their education without delay.
