Varanasi: Varanasi police arrested three persons and recovered four stolen motorcycles without number plates during checking drive near Surhi Underpass under Phoolpur police station area on Monday. The accused were identified as Mithilesh Kumar(33) Vikas Rai (34) and Dablu (36), all residents of Jaunpur district. Three stolen motorcycles were recovered from their possession, and one more stolen motorcycle was recovered from a nearby spot on their disclosure.During interrogation, they confessed that they stole motorcycles in an organised manner for financial gain, hid them at different places, and planned to sell them at low prices. They admitted stealing the motorcycles from Campa Cola company area, CNG gas station area, Chiraigaon, and Sindhora Bazaar area.Police verified the vehicle details through chassis numbers using the e-challan app and registered a case under Sections 317(2), 317(5), and 241 of BNS.
