28-year-old guard found murdered with throat slit in rented room

Gurgaon: A 28-year-old man was found murdered with his throat slit inside a rented room in East Rajiv Nagar on Thursday morning. Police suspect he was killed following an argument over an unspecified issue with two friends, who are currently absconding.The deceased, Sujit Kumar, was a native of Hariharpur village in Jaunpur district of Uttar Pradesh and was working as a security guard.According to police, Sujit was called to a rented room on the top floor of a three-storey house in Gali No. 5 on Wednesday night by two friends — one a painter and the other a security guard, later identified as Keshav.“During the argument, the accused allegedly attacked Sujit and slit his throat, and he died on the spot,” a police officer said.The incident came to light on Thursday morning when the landlord went to the third floor and noticed blood on the terrace and found Sujit’s body inside the room. He alerted the police and a team then reached the spot.The body has been sent for post-mortem and his family has been informed.“We are examining the crime scene, the circumstances leading to the argument and the sequence of events inside the room,” the officer added.Preliminary investigation has indicated that the two suspected accused fled the house after the murder and searches are being conducted to locate them. Neighbours are also being questioned about the murder.
