Vasai: A 24-year-old man drowned in Kalamb creek in Nalasopara West on Friday afternoon. The deceased has been identified as Krishna Vishwakarma, a resident of Santosh Bhavan area.Vishwakarma had visited Kalamb beach with some relatives and entered the water near Mini Goa Resort around 1 pm. As the water initially appeared shallow, he ventured further into the creek. However, he suddenly lost his footing as the depth increased and was swept into deeper water.Lifeguards and fire brigade personnel launched a search operation. His body was found late in the evening near Rangaon beach, said Satish Nikam, senior inspector of Arnala Marine police station. Vishwakarma was known as a social media reel creator.
