Hyderabad: Excise sleuths have intercepted two undergraduate students at Dhulapally and seized a variety of narcotic substances worth ₹2.58 lakh from their possession. Both the accused were arrested under the Narcotic Drugs and Psychotropic Substances (NDPS) Act.Acting on a specific alert, the excise state task force (STF) team intercepted an Innova near a gated community at Dhulapally on the Suraram-Kompally road on Wednesday evening.The excise team noticed that there were two persons — Pavan, 20, from Suraram, and Elizer alias Sunny, 20, from Alwal — in the vehicle. During the search, the STF sleuths seized 3.24 grams of MDMA from Pavan, 36.9 grams of OG Kush and 7.73 grams of charas from Elizer.“Pavan has been procuring MDMA from a Bengaluru-based supplier and charas from a Bidar-based seller. Elizer procured OG Kush from a city-based peddler. Both are undergraduate students and friends. They were procuring the contraband at lower prices and selling it for profit to people from affluent families,” Pradeep Rao said.Along with the contraband, the excise team also seized their car. A case was booked against the duo under relevant sections of the NDPS Act. The accused, along with the seized property, were handed over to the Quthbullapur excise station staff for further investigation.
