2 killed after pickup crashes into tree in Sirsa

Hisar: Two Punjab-based milk supply workers were killed after their pickup vehicle crashed into a roadside tree while trying to avoid an animal on the Desujodha-Jogewala road in Sirsa district on Tuesday morning.The deceased were identified as Gurwinder Singh (40) of Chupkili and Sandeep Singh (30) of Ghal Kalan, both in Moga district. They worked for a Moga-based company supplying milk, curd, paneer and lassi across Punjab, Haryana and Rajasthan.According to police, the duo had delivered goods at Rama refinery and were travelling towards Dabwali via Desujodha and Jogewala when an animal suddenly came in front of their pickup. The driver lost control while trying to avoid it and the vehicle rammed into a roadside tree.Both occupants suffered serious injuries. Passersby alerted police, following which a police team rushed them to civil hospital, Dabwali, where doctors declared them dead.Police said the bodies were handed over to the families after postmortem. The police recorded statements of the relatives and initiated further proceedings.
