New Delhi: Two people have been arrested for causing grievous injury to a man with a surgical blade in a bid to rob him in northeast Delhiās Sonia Vihar.The injured, Pramod Yadav (32), works at a jewellery shop in Chandni Chowk.Police received information regarding the incident from a hospital at 12.18 am last Wednesday. Yadav was later shifted to a private hospital in Shalimar Bagh by his family, where he was admitted to the ICU and underwent surgery, police said.Yadav was returning home after parking his car when he was approached by the two men on the service road. They allegedly assaulted and robbed him before fleeing with his gold chain and mobile phone. A case was registered.The suspects, Mubbashir (21) and Salman (21), were arrested near Chauhan Patti. Police recovered the stolen mobile phone from them. Salman was previously involved in another case of attempted murder, police said.The suspects disclosed that they had pawned the robbed gold chain to a non-banking financial company. Police recovered Rs 1 lakh received against the pawned chain from them and the chain, which was around 24 grams, from the company along with loan documents.
