Dhubri: Two men were arrested on Monday in connection with the murder of a man in Kokrajhar’s Parbatjhora.The accused, identified as Biswajit Roy and Bijoy Roy, were arrested by Kazigaon police from Chapor bus stand in Dhubri district while allegedly trying to flee, a police source said.Police said the incident took place at Rupsi village on Saturday night, when three friends gathered for a duck feast. An argument reportedly broke out during the party, following which Biswajit and Bijoy allegedly assaulted Ranjit Roy, leaving him critically injured.Ranjit later died while undergoing treatment at Dhubri Medical College and Hospital.The incident sparked outrage in the village. Acting on an FIR lodged by the victim’s family, Kazigaon police arrested the two accused.Police are questioning them as part of the ongoing investigation, the source said.
