2 die in separate road accidents

Hyderabad: Two separate road accidents on national highways in Telangana on Sunday morning claimed two lives and left at least one other injured.In the first accident, a 50-year-old man was killed after a car collided head-on with his motorcycle on the Suryapet-Khammam National Highway near Kusumanchi. The deceased was identified as Malothu Sukya, a resident of Somla Thanda.According to police, Sukya was travelling on his motorcycle when the car coming from the opposite direction rammed into the two-wheeler. He suffered severe head injuries and died on the spot. The impact caused the car to overturn, but its occupants escaped unhurt.Kusumanchi police reached the spot soon after being alerted and collected details about the accident. Further investigation is underway.In another accident on NH-44 on the outskirts of Pebberu town in Wanaparthy district, a man was killed and another suffered critical injuries after their motorcycle was hit by a car.Police said the two men were travelling from the Double Bedroom Housing Colony towards Pebberu town when a car travelling from Kadapa towards Hyderabad collided with their motorcycle. One of the riders, identified as Sreenu (47), died on the spot.His companion, Balakrishna, suffered severe head injuries. As his condition was critical, locals shifted him to the Wanaparthy district govt hospital for treatment.Police reached the accident site after receiving information and began collecting details about the circumstances leading to the crash.
