Hyderabad: Two persons died in a freak accident after a wall of an under construction building collapsed and fell on a parked car during the rains at Devarkadra in Mahabubnagar on Wednesday.Jagannath Reddy (45), a native of Krishna of Andhra Pradesh, and Santosh (40), a native of Jharkhand, died.Police said that three colleagues of an infrastructure company were travelling in the company’s car, when one of the men made the driver stop near his house in Devarkadra.“He was supposed to go to Warangal along with others in the same car. Hence, he made the driver stop the car close to his residence. When he went to his house to pick up his luggage, suddenly the wall of an under construction building in the neighbourhood fell on the car which was parked outside the house. As a result, two persons – Jagannath Reddy and Santosh, who were seated in the car died,” Devarkadra sub-inspector G Bhaskar Reddy said.Officials said that it was only three days ago that the wall was constructed. They suspect the wall might have collapsed due to heavy winds.
