Imphal: In a major anti-drug operation, Manipur Police have intercepted two vehicles along NH-2 in Kangpokpi district and arrested four persons, including two serving police personnel, for transporting a large consignment of contraband WY tablets, police said late on Thursday.The arrested persons have been identified as Zamir Khan (45), Zuma Khan (32) — a constable of Manipur Police, Hafizuddin (42) — a head constable of Manipur Police, and Samim (36).According to police, they were arrested late on Wednesday along with the contraband items.Police seized approximately 6.1 kg of WY tablets from their possession. Two vehicles used for transporting the drugs were also confiscated.In a separate operation on Thursday, security forces arrested an active woman cadre of the banned RPF/PLA outfit from her residence at Heibongpokpi Maning Leikai under Lamsang Police Station in Imphal West district. The arrested cadre was identified as Tombi Chanu alias Laijalembi (26).Meanwhile, on Wednesday, security forces arrested an active cadre of KCP (Taibanganba), identified as Leimapokpam Lemba Singh alias Chalamba (21), from Nambol Sabal Leikai under Nambol Police Station in Bishnupur district.
