PUNE: An old video of Siya Goyal, the prime accused in the alleged murder of her fiancé Ketan Agarwal, has resurfaced online.The clip, purportedly recorded in December 2025, shows Goyal inside a nightclub holding what appears to be a beer bottle while speaking on the phone. During the conversation, she is heard using abusive language and saying, “First he cheats on me, then he calls me.”The video has gone viral on social media.Another video that has resurfaced online shows Goyal performing at a family function on May 7, weeks before the alleged murder.The footage shows Ketan Agarwal celebrating with his father, Vishal Agarwal, and Goyal’s parents, Pravin and Pooja Goyal.The videos have emerged as investigators focus on Goyal’s alleged handling of Agarwal’s mobile phone after his death.Police said on Wednesday that Agarwal’s phone remained in Goyal’s possession for some time before she handed it over to his family. Investigators are examining whether any evidence was deleted or tampered with while the device was with her.Agarwal, a 25-year-old director of a real estate firm, died after falling from a cliff at Lohagad Fort in Pune district on 18 June. The case was initially registered as an accidental death but was later converted into a murder investigation.Police allege that Goyal, 20, and her alleged lover, Chetan Chaudhary, 22, conspired to kill Agarwal, to whom she was due to be married in November. The two were arrested on 23 June and have been remanded in police custody until 3 July.Seeking an extension of their custody earlier this week, prosecutors told the court that investigators wanted to determine whether Goyal had deleted or destroyed any evidence from Agarwal’s phone during the period it remained with her.According to police, Goyal allegedly took Agarwal’s phone before he was pushed off the cliff.“She later handed over the phone to his family. We are investigating whether any crucial evidence was deleted or tampered with while the phone was in her possession,” a police official said.Another officer said, “She later handed it over to Agarwal’s relative, but we are investigating whether she deleted or destroyed any evidence from the cellphone.”Meanwhile, Pune Rural Police on Wednesday recreated the alleged crime scene at Lohagad Fort with co-accused Chaudhary as part of the investigation.Police had earlier conducted a similar reconstruction exercise with Goyal on Sunday, during which a dummy was pushed off the cliff in her presence.Investigators have alleged that Goyal gave a pre-decided signal to Chaudhary before Agarwal was pushed from the cliff. Police also claim the pair rehearsed the alleged murder at a hill near Market Yard before carrying it out at Lohagad Fort.The investigation is ongoing.
