Varanasi: Sindhora police of Varanasi on Tuesday arrested the 18-year-old accused of a minor girl’s abduction and safely recovered the girl.Acting on a tip-off during checking of suspicious persons and vehicles, police apprehended the accused and recovered the 14-year-old girl from his custody.Based on the girl’s statement, sections 87/65(1) of the BNS and sections 3/4(2) of the Pocso Act have been added to the case. Further legal proceedings are underway.According to reports, the complainant submitted a written complaint on Monday stating that her minor granddaughter, who had gone to her school in Sindhora, did not return home. On the basis of the complaint, Sindhora police initiated investigations and efforts to trace the girl.
