Agartala: A 17-year-old student allegedly caught a man who snatched cash from an elderly woman near Fire Brigade Chowmuhani, close to the police headquarters, on Sunday evening.The woman was returning home after withdrawing a large sum from an ATM when the suspect allegedly grabbed the cash and fled.Aryan Deb, a Class XI humanities student, chased the suspect, caught him and recovered the money. He then returned the cash to the woman.The woman offered Aryan money as a token of appreciation, but he refused the cash, saying that helping her was reward enough. The suspect was later handed over to the police.Aryan, a student at Assam Rifles Public School in Agartala, previously attended Holy Cross School in Durjoynagar. He is a senior cadet in the National Cadet Corps (NCC) and hopes to join the Indian Army.
