1,316 BAMS, BHMS seats remain vacant after second round in Gujarat

Ahmedabad: The Admission Committee for Professional Undergraduate Medical Educational Courses (ACPUGMEC) has announced the second-round online allotment results for BAMS and BHMS admissions for the 2026-27 academic year.According to the allotment data, 5,479 seats have been allotted across the state quota and the 15% SFI-AIQ category. This includes 2,133 BAMS state quota seats, all of which have been filled, and 2,666 of the 3,611 BHMS state quota seats. As many as 945 BHMS state quota seats remain vacant.Under the 15% SFI-AIQ category, 309 BAMS and 371 BHMS seats have been allotted. Overall, 1,316 seats remain vacant after the second round, including 945 BHMS state quota seats and 371 BHMS SFI-AIQ seats.The round has resulted in 2,330 new state quota admissions: 1,078 in BAMS and 1,252 in BHMS. In addition, 728 students have changed their allotted seats, while 1,741 have retained their previous allotments. The SFI-AIQ category has recorded 202 new admissions.The committee has opened the reporting process for candidates allotted seats in the second round. Online tuition fee payment will remain open from Oct 8 to 13 until 3.30pm. Candidates can also pay the prescribed fee at designated HDFC Bank branches during this period.Candidates must report to their respective help centres and submit their original certificates between 10am on Oct 8 and 4pm on Oct 14.Students seeking cancellation of their MBBS or BDS admissions must complete the process at the same help centre where they submitted their original documents and confirmed their admissions. The deadline is 4pm on Oct 9.A total of 3,315 BAMS and BHMS students — 3,058 under the state quota and 257 under the SFI-AIQ category — are covered by the second-round reporting process.
