Chennai: A clash broke out between two groups of inmates inside Puzhal central prison over distribution of ganja. A case has been registered against 12 prisoners.The incident occurred inside the remand block of the prison, where more than 4,000 inmates are lodged. According to authorities, one group of inmates was found to possess ganja. Another group approached them and demanded a share, which triggered an argument, which escalated into a physical altercation. The 12 individuals involved — Anand, Chinna Thambi, Rajesh, Narasimhan, Sakthivel, Vijay, Ganeshkumar, Surya, Nithiyavel, Vignesh, Kesavan and Vignesh — were detained in their respective cells. TNN
