New Delhi: New Delhi Municipal Council (NDMC) will extend the operating hours of some public toilets in its area from 10 pm to midnight.To begin with, 11 toilets have been identified, of which nine are in Connaught Place. The extended hours start Friday. More toilets are likely to be brought under the extended-hour arrangement, keeping in mind the footfall of the area.“People like to stay in Connaught Place late at night. So from Friday onwards, the timings for 11 public toilets are being extended up to midnight,” said NDMC chairman Manoj Dwivedi on ‘X’.The locations of the public toilets on the list are Shaheed Bhagat Singh Marg, A, E, F and K blocks in CP’s middle circle, two in Central Park opposite D and F blocks, near Super Bazaar Parking in F Block, ECE House on KG Marg, Panchkuia and Chelmsford Road.The decision comes at a time when NDMC is struggling to maintain its existing sites.
