Dimapur: An Assam Rifles (AR) jawan was killed and four others were seriously injured in a suspected IED blast near Sukhovi village of Chumoukedima district in Nagaland on Monday.A civilian sustained a minor leg injury in the explosion, which took place at around 2 pm.Eyewitnesses said the blast appeared to have originated from an autorickshaw as Assam Rifles vehicles were passing through the area. The three-wheeler was completely damaged.The injured personnel were rushed to a hospital at 4th Mile in the district.Police, a forensic team and officials of the Chümoukedima district administration reached the spot. Security forces launched an operation in the area.
