GURGAON: The Anti-Human Trafficking Unit (AHTU) of Gurgaon Police reunited 76 missing children with their families during June as part of an intensive drive to trace missing persons across the district.Overall, Gurgaon Police traced and reunited 211 missing children, women, elderly people and other missing persons with their families during the month, officials said on Sunday.Police said tracing missing persons and ensuring their safe return remain among their top priorities. Special search operations were conducted throughout June, with teams from various police stations and the AHTU using technology and sustained field efforts to locate those who had gone missing.According to police, all those traced were safely reunited with their families after the necessary procedures were completed. Counselling was also provided wherever required before they were handed over to their families.

“Family members have expressed gratitude to the police for their prompt response, professional handling of cases and compassionate approach after being reunited with their loved ones,” police spokesperson Sandeep Turan said.Police also appealed to residents to immediately inform the nearest police station or call Dial 112 if a child, woman, elderly person or any other individual goes missing. Police said early reporting significantly improves the chances of tracing and safely recovering missing persons.Officials added that the police will continue to conduct special operations to trace missing persons and reunite them with their families, while strengthening public safety and trust.
