HC declares July 6 a holiday

Kolkata: Calcutta High Court has declared Monday, July 6, a holiday on account of the 125th birth anniversary of Syama Prasad Mookerjee. Acting Chief Justice (ACJ) Tapabrata Chakraborty announced it for all the benches of Calcutta HC, including circuit benches at Jalpaiguri and Port Blair, as well as district judgeships and the West Bengal Judicial Academy. However, courts will remain open on Aug 1, which is a Saturday.
