Komatireddy sets Dec 2027 deadline for completion of major projects

Hyderabad: Roads and buildings minister Komatireddy Venkat Reddy on Friday said the construction of the new high court building, judges’ residential quarters and Osmania General Hospital construction should be completed and the projects kept ready for inauguration by Dec 2027. Reviewing the progress of various HAM and CRF roads and hospital buildings, the minister said the TIMS hospital at Sanathnagar is ready for inauguration. He directed officials to expedite the construction of the TIMS facilities at Alwal and LB Nagar. The expansion works at NIMS and the Warangal Multi-Super Specialty Hospital should also be fast-tracked, the minister said.“Speed up all ongoing projects and ensure timely completion of major infrastructure works. The first phase of the HAM road programme envisages laying 6,092 km of roads at an estimated cost of nearly Rs 13,000 crore under 34 packages. While work under package-2, covering the 42-km Nalgonda–Mahabubnagar double road project has already commenced, another 10 packages will be grounded in July. After the monsoon, construction should be taken up in three shifts, including night hours, to ensure completion within the stipulated schedule,” he told officials.Stating that quality road connectivity would serve as a catalyst for economic growth, industrial development and employment generation, the minister directed chief engineers to deploy experienced field engineers for each package and maintain close supervision over the works. Komatireddy announced that foundation stones for HAM and CRF roads projects in Karimnagar district would be laid on July 6. The minister said he would begin surprise inspections of project sites this week and warned that any negligence or delay in execution would invite stringent action.Komatireddy also reviewed the progress of temple development works at Basara and Bhadrachalam besides the R&B department’s preparations for the Godavari Pushkaralu. He directed officials to coordinate with the departments concerned and complete all assigned works within the prescribed timelines.
