Chennai: NTK chief coordinator Seeman concluded his campaign on Tuesday with an appeal to voters to shun the corrupt politicians as well as actors who wish to become chief ministers.Winding up his final poll speech at Karaikudi constituency, where he is contesting, Seeman said a vote was a powerful weapon which should be used to protect the people, language and land. “Vote should be used against injustice. Use it wisely.”“Corruption starts from giving cash for votes. If a person gives 3,000 per vote for the election, his intention is to earn 3,000 crore through corruption. There will be no service for the people and the focus will be only on corruption,” Seeman said stating that he would give a corruption-free governance.Throughout his campaign, he was against giving freebies and he made it a point even in his final rally. “Can someone show that the country has grown at least an inch through freebies? Only education, health and drinking water should have been provided for free, but all the three were commercialised.”He also criticised former Union minister P Chidambaram and Sivaganga MP Karti Chidambaram. “They won after you voted them. But you got defeated in the process,” he said alleging there was no development for Karaikudi.This is the first election for Seeman after becoming a recognised political party, and his campaigns reflected the desperateness to retain the status.
