Gurgaon: Traffic movement on Basai Road will be diverted for three nights starting Saturday due to sewer line repair work near Civil Hospital in Sector 10, officials said. The work will be carried out by the MCG between 10pm and 6am from Saturday to Monday (March 30). The work involves repairing the link between the sewer line and GMDA’s master sewer line. The stretch under repair is over 11 metres. Officials said parts of the road may be partially or fully closed depending on the stage of work.An official said, “The repairs are being undertaken at night to minimise disruption, as the stretch sees heavy traffic due to nearby residential areas and the govt hospital,” adding that arrangements will be made to ensure uninterrupted movement of ambulances and other emergency vehicles.Executive engineer Pradeep Kumar said the traffic police have been asked to prepare a diversion plan and deploy personnel to regulate traffic.Officials said the repair work is expected to be completed by Monday afternoon, after which normal traffic movement will resume. Motorists have been advised to use alternative routes and follow diversion signs during the night work period.
