NEW DELHI: A brief quarrel broke out between members of a Hindu outfit and residents of a nearby jhuggi cluster during a prayer recital at a DDA park in southwest Delhi’s Sagarpur, police said on Wednesday.The incident took place on Tuesday evening at a park behind the jhuggi cluster in East Sagarpur, when members of the outfit had gathered to recite prayers, police said in a statement, according to news agency PTI.Some residents objected to the gathering, leading to a heated argument between the two groups, the statement said.According to news agency PTI, Police personnel, who were already deployed in the area as a precautionary measure, intervened immediately and brought the situation under control, it said.

Both groups were dispersed peacefully, and no injuries or damage to property were reported. The situation remained peaceful and under control, with adequate police presence maintained in the area as a precaution, police added.
