Hyderabad: Senior IAS officer Sanjay Jaju assumed charge as the chief secretary of Telangana at the secretariat on Tuesday. A 1992-batch IAS officer, Jaju succeeded K Ramakrishna Rao, who retired from service on Tuesday.Soon after taking charge, Jaju called on chief minister A Revanth Reddy.Before his appointment, Jaju was on central deputation, serving as secretary in the ministry of development of north eastern region (DoNER) and the ministry of information and broadcasting. During his career, he also served as commissioner of the erstwhile municipal corporation of Hyderabad (MCH) and as collector of West Godavari district.
