Hyderabad: Calling for unity ahead of the next election cycle, Telangana BJP president N Ramchander Rao on Tuesday called on party leaders and cadre to function as ‘Team BJP’, saying the party’s strength lay in its workers, not individuals.Addressing the BJP state executive meeting on the outskirts of Hyderabad, Ramchander Rao, who completed one year as state president, thanked party workers, leaders and public representatives for their support and urged them to continue strengthening the organisation.With key elections due over the next two years, he asked workers to stay connected with people, intensify agitations on public issues and set aside internal differences. He said a united BJP should expose what he termed the Congress govt’s failures.Claiming the BJP was emerging as Telangana’s only credible alternative, the state BJP chief accused the Congress and BRS of driving the state into debt through corruption, family rule and administrative failures. He also criticised the Congress over HYDRAA demolitions, the Musi project and the implementation of welfare schemes, expressing confidence that the BJP would form the next govt in the state.
